The KZN Society of Mediators invites new members who have a presence in KZN to join us. We offer membership to mediators either as a “Mediator Member” or “Associate Member”, depending on your mediation experience. 

There are benefits to you being a member of the KZN Society of Mediators. All our members have the choice to be prominently listed on our website, enhancing your visibility and increasing your opportunities for mediation work and referrals. Being a part of a group of like-minded mediation professionals is essential to building a referral network and gaining knowledge of industry developments.  You will also have access to a supportive community of mediators. Members are invited to in-person events, webinars and conferences hosted by the Society, often at a discounted rate.

Mediator Members have the privilege of displaying the Society’s logo on their business cards and their promotional material. In addition, if a Mediator Member is a family mediator, they are recognised as NABFAM-accredited.

Please ensure you have read and understood the Requirements for Mediators as well as the Code of Professional Conduct before completing the form.

Note that applications to join as a Mediator Member will need to be accompanied by:

  1. Evidence of academic or other relevant studies;
  2. Evidence of the required mediation training (certificates);
  3. Practical mediation experience (reference letters or other proof); and
  4. A declaration as to whether or not the applicant has a criminal record.
