Mark Collett

Mark Collett is a seasoned mediator and dispute resolution practitioner based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, with close to two decades of experience helping individuals, families, and organisations navigate conflict constructively. Professional Background Mark's career spans full-time private mediation practice, senior HR and Learning and Development leadership at a global technology business. This combination gives him a rare perspective: he understands conflict both as a practitioner who has sat at the mediation table and as a senior people leader who has managed it from the inside. Qualifications and Training Mark holds a Master's degree from Stellenbosch University with a focus on alternative dispute resolution, a Bachelor of Business Administration in HR and Financial Management, and a BA Honours in Social Science. His mediation training comprises three separate 40-hour foundational programmes completed through the Mediation Institute of Southern Africa (2006), FAMAC (2009), and the ADR Group in the United Kingdom (2012). Mediation Experience Mark has been active in mediation since 2006, practising full-time for a decade across a broad range of dispute types before moving into corporate and technology roles. He brings approximately 20 years of engagement with the field, both in practice and in the development of ADR systems and services.
