Ishara Bodasing

Ishara Kamini Bodasing is an advocate, governance specialist and mediator. She serves as Vice-Chairperson of the KwaZulu-Natal Society of Mediators and as Chairperson of the Association for Dispute Resolution Practitioners-SA. Admitted as an advocate in 1992, she holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Masters in Comparative Law from the University of Delhi, together with arbitration and mediation certification. From 2017 to 2022 she was a member of the Companies Tribunal, mediating, arbitrating and adjudicating company law disputes. She previously headed forensic investigations at KZN Treasury and served as Acting Director of the African Ombudsman Research Centre. She mediates family and commercial disputes and also works as an independent facilitator, early neutral evaluator and trainer.
